What's in my Purse?

I used to love watching these videos on YouTube. All of my favorite vloggers would show you everything they carry around in their purses (backpacks, school bags, make up bags, etc.) and I'd sit in front of my computer realizing I need to buy lip gloss and I might be one of the few people left that carries a book with me, daily.

Sadly, I could never make this video, because even though I did have a YouTube account xoxocarolina92 I would use my iPhone camera, as in no automatic focus on items, no lighting, no nothing. Just me and my iPhone.

However, what do bloggers do best? Take pictures and post about them, a picture's worth a thousand words right? Well, this post is probably more or less a few hundred, but anyway! Here's what I carry in my daily purse:

The purse itself, I got as a gift for my birthday. I have absolutely no idea where it's from, but I love it!

1. The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho, review to come soon!

2. I carry this notebook with me everywhere! To school, work, to run errands, everywhere. I write down anything that comes to mind, or I'll forget. Blog ideas, grocery list, to do's, etsy shop lists, tons of lists, school related stuff, anything.

3. Pens and my name tag. Covered them for my privacy since they do have company logos.

4. Tips that never made it into my wallet.

5. Gum! Have to have gum. I used to actually use this box as a way to keep my ear buds from tangling by wrapping it around the box.

6. Grizzly Business stickers to post around San Diego - free advertising for these guys!

7. Ear buds, a must have!

8. More breath freshners.

9. Sephora's sample lip stick and Baby Lip's chap stick.

10. Lighter; I'm not a smoker, but I've dated a few. Carrying one is just a habit I've always had.

11. Summer's Ever, for other refreshers.

12. And my wallet! I love this wallet, it's from Target and has all the room I need without taking up half of the room in my purse.

And finally, a little sea shell I found at work. I tend to find them when I'm cleaning the beach and always come home with pockets full of shells! But who can blame me? All I want to do is sell sea shells by the sea shore.

Birthday Weeken

This weekend was absolutely great. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday weekend, it was chill and filled with family and friends. The day of my birthday, I didn't do much, I had school all morning from 9:30am to 6:45 pm. However, I dropped by latest class that afternoon and won't be going to school for an incredibly ridiculous amount of time. Any who, I had dinner at home with my family, at the dinning table - which never happens since we always eat at the coffee table catching up on Mexican soap operas, and rarely the four of us since we all work.

But finally on Thursday, we got to eat together. Friday, I had a little bonfire with some of my coworkers and Saturday I went to dinner with my family and some family friends (Kalani's family: she's my best friend and our mom's are best friends!)

Over all, it was a great weekend. I can't wait to see what this (22nd) year holds!

Almost There...

Tomorrow is my birthday. Since turning 21 I've done a lot of drinking no wait scratch scratching that, I definitely drank a lot throughout this last year. However, I also traveled a bit; I went to Mexico most recently (trip to Cabo, trip to and around my mom's hometown), I went to Nashville, I got accepted to Cal Poly Pomona but didn't go, became a Style Advisor for Dormify, a contributor on Makeoverly, I lived with one of my best friends (and cousin) Ileana, became really good friends with some of my coworkers (shout out to Sarah, Brendan, and Trevor), I finally got up on a surf board, opened my etsy shop AguasAzules and so much more!

Cheers to another year!

First Day Back

I shouldn't be typing this, I should be on my way to school (or the gas station since my little light is on) to look for parking. It's been guarenteed by a friend that parking is hectic already. In her words: "They must've taken away 300 parking spots for construction and added 4,000 new students." And that's my cue to go! Here's my first day back at school for the fall semester ootd.

When my Vacation Ends,

When my Mexican vacation ends, I'll be starting school (two days later), there's tons I need to get done. Ordering my books is at the top of the list! I need to also do the following:

  • start working out: for about a month before I left to Cabo I was working out, well riding my bike to work and skating down the boardwalk were my workouts. However, when I got back from Cabo I wasn't doing anything. Driving everywhere I needed to go, my bike collecting cobwebs, and my skateboard sleeping in my trunk. I definitely want to start running and riding my bike again.
  • build my inventory: I need to start building up my inventory for AguasAzules so I can start selling at flea markets and have more things ready for my online sales.
  • study more: I hardly studied this summer. I just passed my summer session course, which I'm not proud of, but I definitely need to hit the books this semester!
  • transfer info: I ended up not transferring last year, I stayed in junior college for an extra year instead of going to Cal Poly Pomona. Now, I have to start the transfer process all over. The schools I'm looking into are UC Santa Cruz, University of Hawaii, San Diego State, and possibly something in North Carolina or Florida - as long as I'm near the water. I'm now studying sociology with a minor in business, yes I changed my major, again. But now I'll finish sooner and I'm still planning on getting my associates in fashion.
  • surf: Another at the top of my list is to get back out on the waves! I've only surfed once, but I absolutely loved it, and I'm literally itching to get back in the water.
But for now, I'm still on vacation in my mom's hometown, until Saturday that is. Then I fly home!

Autlan, Jalisco

Here's another small town I visited today in Jalisco. It's called Autlan, and I didn't take as many pictures as I have been this vacation simply because I've been here before. But enjoy!

This was my attempt at getting ootd shop this morning, but my momma's not the best photographer - she's the best at pretty much everything else, but photography? Not so much ;)
